Mr. William Parairato, Assistant Lecturer

William, a Solomon Islander joined the School of Management/Public Administration as an Assistant Lecturer at the Solomon Islands Campus in 2009. Previously he has worked with a number of organizations including Solomon Islands College of Higher Education, Development Bank of Solomon Islands and United Nations Development Program (Solomon Islands office) as lecturer, Manager Administration and training specialist.  He has undertaken various consultancy tasks for Solomon Islands government ministries and departments, donor funded projects (NZAID, AUSAID, EU and World Bank) and semi and private sectors in Solomon Islands.  William was also a part-time tutor for other management courses at SI campus. 

ACADEMIC BACKGROUND
•    Masters in Management, Massey University, NZ (2007)
•    Postgraduate Diploma in Management/ Public Administration,    University of the South Pacific (2004)
•    Bachelor of  Arts, University of the South Pacific (1995)
• Certificate in adult education, SICHE (1998)

RESEARCH AREAS
•    The Politics of Bank failures
•    Entrepreneurship and public sector reform

RESEARCH INTERESTS
His research interests are in such areas as banking failures, public sector reforms, entrepreneurship, small business and coorporatives.

He is currently teaching MG101 and tutoring MG103, MG201 and MG206 at Solomon Islands Campus  in Honiara (Solomon Islands).
