Course development documents

The following are all formal course development documents as of January 2009.

  • DFL course proposal form
    This form is filled by the intended course writer(s) and ultimately endorsed by the Faculty Standards and Quality Committee for a course to be developed for DFL. The forms are then submitted to the CFL board for approval.
  • Course blueprint
    A blueprint is a document created from initial talks between the Instructional Designer and Course Writer about general ideas for a new or revised course. This document will be a guide for the development of the course.
  • Course development agreement
    This form is used to record an agreement between the course writer and the DFL course development on the agreed responsibilities and timeline for the timely development and production of the course.
  • Copyright forms
    There are three forms that you need to fill in order to seek copyright permission. These are:
  • Copyright letter - standard letter requesting permission to use material(s) from a publisher/owner of content;
  • Copyright form - standard form for specifying the material(s) that you wish to use; and
  • Artist's release form - for consent to use material by an artist or artists.
