The pioneering task of interpreting Moodle into the Fijian (i-Taukei) language was taken on in a workshop conducted on Saturday 16th April 2011 at the Holiday Inn in Suva. The workshop was organized and sponsored by the Faculty of Arts & Law & the iTaukei Education Trust Fund in the anticipation that the outcome would not only enhance but also encourage the learning of the i-Taukei Language at the University of the South Pacific. Participants included representatives from CFDL, SLAM -Fijian Language department and the i-Taukei Trust Fund. A final workshop is to be conducted on Saturday 7th May for the completion of this task.
Moodle is USP’s online learning management system and have been in use since 2007.
