CEDT becomes CFDL

The Centre for Educational Development and Technology (CEDT) has now been renamed to the Centre for Flexible and Distance Learning (CFDL). The University Senate approved the renaming on 26 November, 2008. The Senate also approved the new structure for CFDL.

The new structure will include two main teams: Course Design and Development and Student Learning Support. It will also have a Professional Development coordinator to run and co-ordinate professional development and training for academic and teaching staff, other staff, campus staff and CFDL staff. There will also be a Team Leader Research to conduct institutional research. Continuing and Community Education (CCE) will remain in the new structure for the time being.
