CFDL farewells Head of DFL

CFDL staff and friends gathered together on Friday April 3rd, 2009 to farewell Dr. Jenny Evans, Head of Distance & Flexible Learning after serving the University for ten years.

Dr. Evans who took up the position of Head of DFL in April 2005 after joining the University for the second time—had previously been Acting Coordinator, Instructional Design & Development at the then Distance Education Unit of University Extension till 2002 before she left to take up a position at the Charles Darwin University in 2003.

Since her arrival, CFDL underwent a restructure, resulting in Distance & Flexible Learning (DFL) becoming Course Design & Development (CDD).

CFDL Acting Co-directors, Valentine Hazelman and Theresa Koroivulaono in their farewell speeches thanked Dr. Evans for her immense contribution to the development of the CFDL and wished her well in the future.

Dr. Evans will take up her new position at the Hong Kong Open Polytechnic in May, 2009.
