during the workshop
On the 15th and 16th of April 2009, CFDL hosted workshops for course writers on writing effective learning outcomes and writing and reading for distance and flexible learning. The workshop was aimed at faculty staff.
The workshops covered important concepts in writing effective learning outcomes, using constructive alignment, assessment, readability and the use of icons and graphics to make course materials engaging for students. While opening the workshops, Valentine Hazelman, Acting co-director of CFDL, stressed the importance of applying concepts learnt in the two day workshop in their respective course materials to enhance their learning and teaching experiences.
CFDL will be conducting more workshops of this nature in the coming months.
