Do you want to be a MENTOR?

The Student Learning Support (SLS) Peer Mentor programme offers you the following benefits: 

• Conducts training sessions;
• Grants a certificate;
• Provides a written reference by the mentoring supervisor;
• Awards a ‘Best Mentor’ award to the most outstanding mentor of the semester; 
• Pays at student rates; and
• Provides first-hand experience of the ‘work environment’ before you enter the employment market.

SLS needs Mentors in the following disciplines:
CS/IS, Mathematics, Physics, Banking, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Psychology, Sociology, Biology, Chemistry, Literature and language, Education, Tourism, Geography, History, Law and Management.

The requirements of the application are:
1. Application letter
2. Curriculum Vitae
3. A copy of your transcript
4. Names of two referees.

If you are interested and are confident of providing quality peer mentor support, apply in writing to the:

Successful applicants will be expected to attend a one day induction programme.
