More CFDL Moodle workshops underway

CFDL continues its series of workshops on using Moodle from June 9th – 12th. The first workshop held on 9th of June was on Increasing Student Engagement through Online Learning. The workshop attracted 15 participants from across all faculties of the university.
Building from the skills and knowledge gained from the Introductory Moodle workshops hosted earlier in the year, the increasing student engagement workshop addressed issues and methods of effective online learning and teaching through Moodle and the many collaborative tools it offers to achieve these. The Moodle tools included discussion forum, quick mail, chat, blog, wikis and glossary.
The Moodle workshops continue throughout the week with the Managing and Monitoring Learning Achievement workshop next up on 10th June and the Introduction to Moodle workshops on 11th & 12th June.
