EDULINK SideCAP final dissemination event site goes live
The EDULINK SideCAP Final Dissemination Event website is now live. The URL is www.usp.ac.fj/sidecap. The website which is part of the CFDL contains essential information about the final dissemination event such as the tentative programme, keynote speakers and event venues.
The SideCAP Project is a European Union (EU) funded project and is part of its ACP-EU Cooperation Programme in Higher Education (EDULINK). SideCAP stands for Staff Improvement in Distance Education for Caribbean, African and Pacific universities. There are 5 institutions involved in this project namely the Open University, UK (OU), the University of Highlands and Islands Millennium Institute (UHI), Scotland, the University of Mauritius (UM), the University of the West Indies (UWI) and the University of the South Pacific (USP).
Project activities include workshops, reports, repurposing open educational resources (OERs), quality assurance and an interactive network. Project meetings are being held in all partner countries that began in Milton Keynes, UK, on 12 May 2008. The project has been running for a period of 32 months and will conclude with the final dissemination event to be hosted by the University of the South Pacific from 8th to 12th February, 2010.
