School of Law plans to offer 2 summer flexi-schools
The School of Law is planning to offer two flexi-schools at Emalus in the summer break:
LW395 Special Topic – Mediation. The course will be offered in blended mode, with one-week of online activity in November 2014 followed by a face-to-face component from the 11th - 19th December 2014. The coordinator will be Professor Laurence Boulle from Australia, an internationally renowned expert on mediation.
LW395 Special Topic - Indigenous Peoples in International Law. This course will be taught by staff of the University of Auckland in conjunction with a parallel course taught to Auckland students. The course will be taught in face-to-face mode from the 7th - 19th January 2015 at Auckland (video conference link to Emalus) and from the 28th January – 11th February 2015 at Emalus (video conference link to Auckland). Students will take both components.
Prospective student numbers will determine whether or not the Mediation course is offered. It would not be possible to offer the face-to-face component at earlier dates.
On-campus students, please sign up at the SOL notice board or contact Fane Rai – SOL Administrative Assistant if you would be interested in and able to take either of these courses.
