Fiji Director of Public Prosecutions to hold public lecture at Emalus campus
Mr Christopher Pryde, Director of Public Prosecutions in Fiji, will present an open lecture on "Criminal prosecutions in Fiji and the Public Interest" on Tuesday, February 24, from 10 to 11 am. The lecture will be held in the Emalus campus conference room.
Following the lecture there will be time for a general discussion on law and society issues in Fiji, including recent legal and constitutional developments.
Prior to assuming his current position, Mr Pryde was the Solicitor General of Fiji and Permanent Secretary for Justice and Anti-Corruption. As well as having overseen a number of high profile criminal prosecutions he has insight into Fijiís recent legal and constitutional developments.
Law and Society Open Lectures are open to all Emalus students and staff and all members of the public.
