I was admitted to the Roll of the High Court as a legal practitioner in 2008 and at the same time was offered a USP Graduate Assistant scholarship to begin Masters studies. While studying for the LLM I tutored 200 level and 100 level law courses. In 2010 I graduated with my LLM and was also confirmed as an Assistant Lecturer with the School of Law. In 2011 I began my Doctorate studies and am currently working on that. I am married with 3 children, the youngest born in 2011. My husband is also a lawyer interested in the areas of intellectual property and fraud.

Research Interests - I am interested in the area of family law. This includes laws dealing with domestic violence, adoption laws (national and international) and custody issues over international borders and the protection of children crossing borders through adoption or under a custody agreement between parents. Environmental law and the law on indigenous people and identity is another area of interest. This is focused specifically on migration by indigenous people within the Pacific.
