Greetings and welcome!
The college warmly welcomes students and staff to another exciting year and continues to strive for quality in critical areas such as teaching and learning, administration and leadership by working closely with its students and staff. The perception of ‘quality’ that has become the key word these days at work and in our studies is not to be taken as an understatement of a prescription that we often hear and read about but as a target mission that drives all of us. You, our students, must always remember your purpose in life hence your studies. The Staff of the College and the support services of the University have been structured to cater for all your study needs: a great opportunity that is often clouded or buried under other priorities and distractions.
The staff will continue their effort in revising study programmes and courses at Foundation Studies to a standard that guarantees the quality that offers various knowledge and skills needed at this level. This is a continuing process directed towards this priority responsibility. New courses are also developed at Preliminary Level to ensure that students are adequately prepared to undertake Foundation Studies. Be assured that this preparatory level will enhance your capacity to take on further studies in the field of your interests.
May I reflect on the college observation concerning your responsibility to contribute to our own learning. These contributions from you are : commitments, time management, priority strategy, willingness to learn, compliance with directives, team work and most of all the understanding that you have the potential. Sacrifice on your part for seventeen weeks in the semester will result in success. Together, we need to appreciate these opportunities that may not be available in the near future. We need to nurture our personal developments for our own benefits as well as those around us who are dependent on us.
I would like to thank all the college staff throughout the region wherever the placement may be for the great efforts in your various roles and responsibilities. You have been called to this honourable profession and it is your contribution that sustains our vision of success and great achievements.Let us all continue to work together in harmony to fulfill the visions of being part of the College of Foundation Studies and all that it involves. May your strengths be renewed for the responsibilities of this Semester and let this also bring abundance of blessings to all of us and our families.
Best regards
