Project Management - Stage 1

Course Background

Today, in addition to the regular duties of your job, you are often expected to take on extra assignments and to get that additional job done well, done under budget and on time. This workshop is not intended to take you from a supervisory or administrative position to that of a project manager but will familiarize you with fundamentals and logistics. With this, project management training is important to ensure that you have the right skills and knowledge when it comes to doing project management. What’s more, project management training can help you become a better person as you will have better sense of your time and resources.

 

At the end of this training participants will be familiar with:

  • Benefits of projects
  • The phases of a project’s life cycle
  • Ideas to sell ideas and make presentations
  • Prioritising projects
  • Conceptualising the project, including goals and vision statements
  • Use of target chart and other planning tools
  • A statement of work.
