M1: Introduction to Moodle Workshop

This workshop is intended for those that are new to online teaching and Moodle.
It will cover the following:

  • Basic principles of online learning & teaching
  • Moodle Overview – What is it? Moodle interface, User Profile
  • The effective use of content presentation tools in enhancing student engagement (uploading, presentation & management of files)
  • The effective use of communication tools such as forums to enhance the administrative aspects of your course.

This workshop uses a blended learning approach as follows.

  • 3 weeks of online learning activities devoted to introducing you to concepts of online learning and teaching.
  • 3 hrs of face to face hands on session to be conducted in a computer lab.
