“Everything starts with you” Mr Viliame Rabici, our lecturer who would remind us throughout the course. This is what we often overlook when problems arise or our company image or performance is in question. This sound advice and constant reminder helped to redirect our focus when looking for root causes, making decisions or designing strategic plans.
That’s why most of us joined the course, to equip ourselves with the necessary tools and skills that meet the demands of our positions or future posts. We also needed the recognised proofs of our competencies for further prospects.
Because it was designed for business leadership and management, I felt obligated to supplement my business knowledge with the smart skills and business tools offered through the course in order to carry out my leadership roles as a Board Director, and fulfill my strong obligation to build up community opportunities and services.
The learning has not stopped here that the workshop has come to an end, but the real hard work now begins through the applications of the tools in our respective business units. Our competencies will be assessed in our analytic abilities to identify problems, evaluate situations and design strategic plans that will address the proposed changes. It’s not been easy and the expectations are very high. We have also been forewarned that not all will pass and with that I think we have all been suitably challenged to warrant our positions.
I am grateful for the learning opportunity made possible by my district leader and sponsor, who I think also saw the need for self development as a tool for achieving greater things for the larger community. I eagerly look forward to the diploma course but have to pass this first hurdle to qualify for the next. Therefore, I would recommend this course for anyone in managerial positions to raise themselves to the next level because not only for the course content, but also to experience a little of the extensive expertise of Mr Rabici himself as he continuously increases his Johari free area. Also to the 24 other participants who made the learning even more rewarding by sharing with us their own experiences and expertise, a big “tuba kor” and better networking to look forward to. Tarowong,
