The Budget, Audit and Tax Office is responsible with the following functions:
Budget- Responsible with the implementation of Annual Budget Process of the University, as approved by the Finance and Investments Committee. The unit assess' each section and department's budget proposals, consolidates the University Budget and make recommendations to Senior Management Team and Finance and Investments Committee on financial arrangements for the following year. The Annual Process begins in May of each year and ends around November, after the approval of the Budget by the University Council.
Audit - Responsible with the implementation of the Annual Audit Plan as approved by Audit Committee. The unit coordinates audit activities with the auditor, ensure that Audit timelines are adhered to, and ensure that audit recommendations are implemented by all faculties and sections.
Tax- Responsible with all tax matters of the University. The unit ensures that monthly tax payments and tax returns are paid and lodged promptly, provide tax advises to all units, liaise with the Tax Authority on any tax matter and issue, and ensures that the University are compliant to all Tax Regulations of the Country.
