Transition to Google Apps Questions

When will Google Applications be available to me?

Google Applications (Gmail, Calendar and Instant Messaging) will be available to most @student.usp.ac.fj from August 2010. You will have received an email in your current webmail account inviting you to sign up.

What is the implementation process?

Students were invited to sign up to Google Apps based on groups and all invitations. This staged migration was the method chosen to minimise impact on existing services and ensure that signup is successful for all students.

Will my email address change?

No. Your email address will still be studentID@student.usp.ac.fj

Will all of my saved email messages be available in my new account?

Accepting the terms of agreement includes transferring all existing emails to your new student email (Gmail) account. Please note that email migration is conducted from Monday to Friday as there is a manual verification process. If you have signed up on a weekend, your migration request will be actioned on Monday.

After I've signed up, how do I access my student email (Gmail) account?

A new webmail page will be published on August 31st that has a direct link to student email (Gmail).
