Management Development Programme - Commercial Operations |

WHY MDP?
Most supervisors and managers were promoted to positions of responsibility without any leadership or management training. Prior to their promotion as supervisors or managers, most were recruited with technical qualification required for the job they previously occupied. But in recognition of good performances on the job, they have earned their promotion. Some organisations acknowledge the loyalty and long service of staff by promoting them to positions of responsibility within the organisation.
Inadvertently the promotion is a shift away from familiar ground or comfort zone as the incumbent is required to deliver a new set of outputs with a different set of standards. Consequently the staffs are often confronted with leadership and management issues which he/she have not been trained to handle.

There is a need for improved productivity, technology advancement, better management, quality practices and creating awareness of best practices. Furthermore an organisation may find it uneconomical to spend time and money to send staff off for long term training.
Therefore a management training programme like the Certificate IV in Business Leadership and Management is essential in providing an avenue for the development of practical knowledge and skills for potential management candidates.
