Admission Requirements
Persons are eligible to be admitted to study for the Bachelor of Arts and Graduate Certificate in Education combined programme if they have:
- provided a character reference from the head or a senior teacher of their last high school, and
- admission with standing; or
- passed a Senate-recognised Form 7 examination or equivalent
- completed the requirements for a USP Foundation Science Programme, and have passed LLF11, and have an average of C in the following pairs of courses (subjects):
Programme Requirements
This four-year combined pre-service program is designed to prepare specialist graduates teachers for teaching in secondary schools throughout the South Pacific region.
It normally consists of 27 courses, including:
- two (2) 100-level compulsory courses;
- eight (8) courses in an education major (two (2) 100-level, three (3) 200-level and three (3) 300-level;
- eight (8) courses in the first discipline major;
- eight (8) courses in the second discipline major; and
- ED300 Practicum.
