Admission Requirements - Persons are eligible to be admitted to study for the Master of Agriculture, or the Master of Arts, or the Master of Science if they have:
- obtained a USP Bachelor' s degree with a grade point average (GPA) of at least 3.5 in the 200 and 300 level courses of the relevant major, or
- obtained a USP Postgraduate Diploma with a GPA of at least 3.0, or passed at least two courses towards a USP Postgraduate Diploma and have a GPA of 3.0 in those courses, or
- obtained a tertiary qualification deemed by the senate or its delegate to be equivalent to clause a) or b), or
- obtained a professional qualification deemed by the Senate or its delegate to be equivalent to clause a) or b), or
- in exceptional cases, have demonstrated experience or achievement the Senate or its delegate deems sufficient, or
- admission with standing.
Programme Requirements - OPTION 1: Pass PDGE with a 3.0 GPA plus thesis of about 50,000 words.
- OPTION 2: In Option 2, outstanding students with the degree of Bachelors of Education with a GPA of at least 3.5 in the education majors at the 200 and 300 levels may bypass the PDGE and proceed to complete the Master of Arts in Education by thesis. However, the students may be requested to complete postgraduate courses as specified on admission to the Masters programme.
