Centre for Flexible Learning (CFL)

The Centre for Flexible Learning (CFL) was renamed in 2013 as part of the wider academic restructuring of the university to align with the introduction of the new USP Strategic Plan 2013-2018. The broad mission of CFL is to lead the enhancement of quality in all aspects of Flexible Learning (FL) design and development at USP. Specifically the role of CFL is to:

  • Leverage technology and integrate new pedagogies for designing and developing all USP programmes in Flexible and Online modes that exemplify excellence in knowledge creation.
  • Develop collaboratively with faculties, campuses and regional agencies, high quality and innovative learning courses and programmes for the region in both formal and continuing and community education.
  • Provide professional development opportunities for staff and training for students to develop exemplary and innovative learning and teaching practices and skills for life-long learning.
  • Promote scholarship and to undertake practice-based and applied research in the design of FL materials and experiences.
