Economics Students Association

USPESA was formed on 28th of July 2005. It was officially launched by Professor Bill Bhaskara Rao at the Oceania Centre. It is a student-run organization comprised of Economics majors and minors at the undergraduate, and the post graduate level. The USPESA provides an excellent opportunity to get involved with a core group of students on campus. This will greatly enhance and encourage cooperation and association between the students within the School of Economics.

Objectives

The objectives of the Association are to:

  • Initiate and maintain fellowship between USP Economics students.
  • Establish close ties between USPESA, the School of Economics (USP) and Economics Professional bodies.
  • Maintain an appropriate level of professional competence through ongoing development of knowledge and skills of the Economics designations.

Membership

Membership of the Association shall be extended to all students who are registered either as a minor, single major or double major in Economics at all levels. However, to become a financial member, a member is required to pay an annual subscription fee of one Fijian dollar (FJ$1.00).
