
The Government of the Republic of the Marshall Islands became a full member of the University in 1990. The USP Marshall Islands Campus was established in 1993 and is located at Delap in Majuro. The majority of students enrolled at the Campus are from Majuro and Ebeye. Enrolments are increasing in the outer islands, with students on Aur, Jaluit and Likiep. Currently the Campus provides tutorials and face-to-face courses for the following programmes: Accounting, Banking, Management, Official Statistics, Bachelor of Education Early Childhood Education, Information Systems, Library and Geographical Information Studies. Continuing Education short courses include computing, book-keeping, basic tourism and hospitality, medicinal plants and traditional medicine and weaving. Audio and video conferencing facilities, library and computer laboratory as well as internet and email access via USPNet are available for students. The University of the South Pacific is a regional university serving 12 member countries: Cook Islands, Fiji Islands, Kiribati, Marshall Islands, Nauru, Niue, Samoa, Solomon Islands, Tokelau, Tonga, Tuvalu and Vanuatu. Success(at)USP is a four day orientation designed just for you to help you get started (or re-started) on an enjoyable and successful journey of University. By the end of this activity-filled orientation you should feel more confident to study at USP. You will cover topics that will address your learning styles, help you to develop the skills of studying effectively, shows you how to get good grades by explaining assignments and the examination processes, and will give you an orientation to the library and all the learning services USP makes available to you.
