- Fees
The major cost of your study is your fees, which are detailed in the fees schedule. However there are other costs such as textbooks, accommodation and transport that you need to allow for. - Other Costs
- Study Costs
- Course Materials, Textbooks and Stationery
All print mode pre-degree and continuing and community education courses include a compulsory fee for course materials, but some courses (print and other modes) also have textbooks. You will also need to budget for stationery. - Photocopying and printing
There are photocopying and printing facilities for student use on Campuses. Students either load funds into their own "account" to pay for printing and copying, or pay cash for the actual costs incurred when they use these services. - Field trips
Some on campus courses (eg. in Geography) have field trips for which a fee is charged. You will normally be informed about these charges at the first lecture.
- Living Costs
- Accommodation and Food
For students living away from home during their USP studies, there are single and married quarters available at the three campuses, the costs of which are detailed in the Residential and Dining fees schedule. All of the university quarters charges include the cost of utilities such as power and water, and some quarters include some or all meals in the cost. If you are boarding, staying with friends, or sharing with other students, you will need to budget for food as well as the cost of rent power, phone and water. - Transport
Students who travel from a different island for their studies should allow for their transport costs to and from that island during the breaks. In Apia, Port Vila and Suva buses and taxis are an inexpensive way of travelling between rented accommodation and the campus.
