Course Development Management System - Progress:

The project has successfully implemented a Multimedia Database (ONLY FOR USP STUDENTS AND STAFF). It is a web based centralized indexing system for digital educational material or Learning Objects. Metadata of the current release is based on Dublin Core standard which virtually all search engines on the Internet comply to. Mr. Takakazu Tamaki (JICA short term expert) is currently working on a second release which will implement IEEE LOM (Learning Object Metadata) 1.0, a prominent international standard which was established in July 2003. MDB will be one of the first databases in the world to implement this international standard. Updated version of MDB is schedule to be released in November 2003.
