Training on Multimedia Database
Mr. Takakazu Tamaki, short-term
expert from Japan was at USP for just over a month
from July 3rd - August 12th 2004. The main purpose
of his trip was to finalise a User Manual and
provide short-course training to USP counterparts
on how to maintain the Multimedia Database (MDB)
system he had developed during his previous trip
to USP in 2003. This will ensure the sustainable
use of the MDB at USP. The MDB
is a "Learning object" management database
for USP. Mr. Tamaki also installed a newly developed
world standard, the "IEEE
standard", into the MDB.
Note: MDB can be accessed
by USP staff and students only.
