Counterpart Training in Japan
Under the Computing Science Component, Mr. Sunil
Lal has been awarded a scholarship for the Doctoral
Course at Ryukyu University.
Mr. Lal, who recently completed his Masters Thesis,
was on "Internet-based secured remote control
of computer numerically controlled drilling machine",
commenced studies from 4th April for three years.
Upon completion of his studies, Mr. Lal will
return to USP to teach within the Computing Science
department.
Ms. Ashwini Datt, Course Development Assistant,
DFL Support Centre is currently in Japan attending
a training from 11 January - 28 April, 2005 on
Multimedia Production for Education.
Under the CS component of the Project, Mr. Dinesh
Kumar (Assistant Lecturer, Computing Science Department)
visited Shinshu University from 21st February
- 6th March 2005. The main purpose of his visit
was to learn the on line system architecture and
how to introduce the system into USP.
