Qualifications from The University of the South Pacific’s (USP) Pacific Technical and Further Education (Pacific TAFE) allows graduates to find entry and para professional employment opportunities, pathways for higher studies and career advancement for working people.

Students gathered at the Japan-Pacific ICT Centre at The University of the South Pacific’s Laucala Campus in Suva used the opportunity to find out more about the University during the Orientation session held by the Faculty of Science, Technology and Environment (FSTE).
Students actively participated in quizzes, competitions and question and answer sessions and won prizes such as smartphones, tablets, recharge cards and gift vouchers.

USP signs new partnership agreement with New Zealand - 4 Feb 2016 11:46:36 am
A new partnership arrangement worth NZD 15 million over the next three years (2016-2018) has been signed between New Zealand and The University of the South Pacific (USP) on 2 February 2016.
Under the partnership, New Zealand will support the University to build the skills and capability of Pacific peoples in line with identified national and regional priorities to advance sustainable development in the region.

Antonio Tuvici and Jone Usa did not let their physical disabilities deter them from achieving their dreams of acquiring tertiary education. They were among new students undergoing Orientation at The University of the South Pacific as the new academic semester begins on 8 February.

The Vice-Chancellor and President of The University of the South Pacific (USP), Professor Rajesh Chandra was recently honoured at the first-ever Uttar Pradesh (UP) Pravasi Diwas, India on 4 January 2016 with Uttar Pradesh Ratna award.
He is one of the 13 people across the world from the Indian diaspora who were honoured at the Pravasi Diwas ceremony by the Chief Minister of the State of Uttar Pradesh, Sri Akhilesh Yadav.

The University of the South Pacific (USP) is the only non-Australian university in the South Pacific to achieve accreditation from the Australian Computer Society (ACS) for its Bachelor of Software Engineering and Bachelor of Net-centric Computing.
The two programmes received professional accreditation by ACS in December 2015. ACS is a professional association for the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) sector in Australia and also a signatory to the Seoul Accord.
The programmes are offered by USP through its Faculty of Science, Technology and Environment (FSTE).
