98 students graduate from Kiribati Campus - 6 Aug 2018 02:35:57 pm
A total of ninety-eight (98) students of The University of the South Pacific (USP) graduated during the sixth (6th) Kiribati Campus graduation on 3rd August 2018. A notable feature of this graduation ceremony was that sixty-five per cent (65%) of the graduates were females. Forty-seven per cent (47%) of the students graduated with Undergraduate programmes, twenty eight per cent (28%) were from Pacific TAFE, while twenty-four (24%) received Postgraduate qualifications. The University of the South Pacific (USP) installed its 25th Chancellor, His Excellency Taneti Maamau, the President of the Republic of Kiribati during the Kiribati graduation ceremony on 3 August 2018. He attended the installation ceremony along with the First Lady Teiraeng Maamau. The University of the South Pacific’s (USP) Labasa Campus 2018 Open Day held at the Katonivere grounds on 27 July 2018 was a success with thousands visiting and taking an interest in the courses and programmes offered by the University. All leaders require courage which includes both moral and physical courage and the late Nelson Mandela had both. Thousands of secondary school students from around the Western Division frequenting the various booths at The University of the South Pacific (USP)’s Lautoka Campus Open Day on 27 July 2018 were reminded to explore beyond what was being offered for their desired tertiary education courses. Pacific TAFE delivers cohort of Climate Change Certificate - 1 Aug 2018 03:27:21 pm
The University of the South Pacific’s (USP) College of Science, Technology and Environment (CSTE) at the Pacific Technical and Further Education (Pacific TAFE) has begun a cohort delivery of the inaugural Certificate IV in Resilience (Climate Change Adaptation & Disaster Risk Reduction). The University Grants Committee (UGC) of The University of the South Pacific (USP) held its triennial meeting 2019-2021 at the Japan-Pacific ICT Centre, Laucala Campus from 16 to 19 July 2018.
