The University of the South Pacific (USP) is pleased to announce that the USP Convention has come into effect from 16 June 2018. According to the Convention, the Fiji Government, as the depository has an obligation to inform USP Member Countries when the Convention will take effect and this will be formally conveyed by His Excellency Ratu Tui Cavuilati, the Roving Ambassador to the Pacific to the member country governments. Vanuatu In-Country Science Programme Officially Launched - 3 Jul 2018 03:43:04 pm
Students in Vanuatu can now take selected full science degree programmes from The University of the South Pacific’s (USP) Emalus campus from semester two under the Vanuatu In-Country Science Programme (VISP) launched on Tuesday 19 June 2018. The VISP is a cohort teaching model developed by the Faculty of Science, Technology and Environment (FSTE) to enable science teachers, mature students and freshman the opportunity to complete their science degree from their local campus. The University of the South Pacific (USP) farewelled His Excellency Major General (Ret’d) Jioji Konusi Konrote after ending a successful term as the University’s 24th Chancellor from 1 July 2017 to 30 June 2018, during a dinner at the Holiday Inn in Suva on 26 June.
