Honourable Mr Faiyaz Koya, Fiji’s Minister for Trade, Tourism, Lands and Mineral Resources, visited The University of the South Pacific’s (USP) Labasa Campus on 29 March 2018 while on a tour to close the Young Entrepreneurship Scheme (YES) training workshop in Labasa.

An Adjunct Professor of The University of the South Pacific (USP), Dr Ravindra Chandra Joshi has had his term as a Researcher and Pest Adviser in the DELTAMED Association extended indefinitely.
DELTAMED, a network of Mediterranean Deltas headquartered in Spain, is an association that aims to exchange experiences and knowledge about the problems of the territory and sustainable agriculture.

The University of the South Pacific’s (USP) Faculty of Science, Technology & Environment (FSTE) recently held a High Achievement Awards Ceremony for five (5) high achievers at the Tonga Campus on 29 March 2018.

Dr Gurmeet Singh, Associate Professor at The University of the South Pacific’s (USP) School of Management and Public Administration (SMAP) has been awarded with the ‘Excellent Researcher Award’ by Research Excellence and Academic Awards (REAA) 2018.
The awards were given in a ceremony held on the campus of N.L. Dalmia Institute of Management Studies and Research in Mumbai on 10 March 2018.

Staff of The University of the South Pacific’s (USP) Tuvalu Campus underwent training on professional development conducted by Dr Desmond Amosa, a Master of Business Administration (MBA) lecturer for Organisational Behaviour.
Dr Rosiana Lagi, Campus Director stated that Dr Amosa was at the Tuvalu Campus teaching MBA 435: Organisational Behaviour for the Tuvalu Campus MBA cohort.

The University of the South Pacific (USP) wishes to advise that its Laucala Campus will be fully operational tomorrow (11 April) for classes and normal business operations. All staff and students are therefore requested to return to work and class at the Laucala Campus.
The Lautoka, Labasa and Nadi staff are requested to report to work tomorrow (11 April) to prepare these Campuses for classes for students on Thursday (12 April). Classes at these Campuses will resume on 12 April.
