Pacific Island citizens will benefit from improved livelihoods and opportunities through skills development thanks to a partnership signed between The University of the South Pacific (USP) and the Australian Government supported Australia Pacific Training Coalition (APTC) at the USP Laucala Campus on Friday 21 September 2018. USP Tuvalu Campus Awards Students with Reading Certificates - 27 Sep 2018 10:22:09 am
A total of ninety-five (95) students from Funafuti Primary School were awarded with certificates for completing a two-weeklong Literacy programme at The University of the South Pacific’s (USP) Tuvalu Campus on 31 August 2018. Dr. Rosiana Lagi, USP Tuvalu Campus Director, initiated the programme, which was an outcome of a research, carried out by Certificate in Teaching students at the Tuvalu Campus. More than 500 students from The University of the South Pacific’s (USP) Faculty of Business and Economics (FBE) were awarded certificates, diplomas and degrees at the National Gymnasium on 21 September 2018. Graduates of The University of the South Pacific (USP) were challenged to embrace failure, grow and learn from it during their graduation ceremony at the FMF Gymnasium in Laucala on 20 September 2018. A total of 1,321 students will be graduating from The University of the South Pacific’s (USP) second graduation ceremony for 2018 at the National Gymnasium over a two day period from 20-21 September. Five postgraduate history students of The University of the South Pacific (USP) visited Auckland, New Zealand from 17-26 August 2018 to collect research data on the impact of gifting to customary practices on living standards in the diaspora. Eleven Samoan families mostly in South Auckland were interviewed and selected on their known contribution to a customary practice in July 2017.
