The University of the South Pacific’s (USP) Pacific Technical and Further Education (Pacific TAFE)has two focus, the foundation or pre-degree programme which prepares students for University study, has operated around the Pacific for decades, and the second string is sub-degree programmes. Emalus Campus to work on CommonSensing Project - 7 Mar 2019 10:32:29 am
The University of the South Pacific’s (USP) Emalus Campus in Vanuatu is working on the Commonsensing Project funded by the UK Space Agency International Partnership Programme. Led by an international consortium of organisations working with the Government of Vanuatu, Fiji, and the Solomon Islands, the project aims to improve access to climate information and geospatial analysis skills. Launch of One Ocean Hub at USP - 27 Feb 2019 08:45:43 am
The Pacific Launch of One Ocean Hub research programme in Fiji took place at The University of the South Pacific’s (USP) Laucala Campus on 22 February 2019. The One Ocean Hub is an ambitious £22 million programme aimed at transforming the global response to the urgent challenges of oceans law, science and governance. USP researchers have been awarded an initial £1.6m to lead key areas of the research. A new mobile app by The University of the South Pacific (USP) mlearnings’ mobile app team USP Course Module App for the Vanuatu In-country Science Programme (VISP) was launched by Vanuatu’s Prime Minister Honourable Charlot Salwai on 8 February 2019. USP climate change expert is IPCC lead author - 21 Feb 2019 09:24:59 am
A climate change expert, Dr Morgan Wairiu from The University of the South Pacific (USP) has been selected as the coordinating lead author for the “Small Islands” chapter in the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) Sixth Assessment Report (IPCC AR6). The IPCC releases the assessment reports every five years, with the last report (IPCC AR5) released in 2014.
