A total of one hundred and twenty-six (126) students graduated from The University of the South Pacific’s (USP) Tuvalu Campus on 21 November 2018, the highest number in the history of the Campus.

The University of the South Pacific (USP) hosted the 7th Research Excellence and Innovation Awards Evening at the Laucala Campus on 16 November 2018.
More than 100 academic staff were recognised for their research outputs that were published in highly-ranked outlets in 2017; including A*, A and B-ranked journals, books and book chapters.

The United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) and The University of the South Pacific (USP) this month signed an agreement that will strengthen collaboration on emergency preparedness activities in Fiji and the Pacific region, and ensure disaster responders are better equipped when the next disaster strikes.

Thirty government officials from the Fijian Government undertook project management training through The University of the South Pacific’s (USP) Pacific Technical and Further Education (Pacific TAFE) from 5 – 9 November 2018.
The training week prepared the participants to begin an intensive 3-4 month course, including follow up sessions, to graduate with a Certificate IV in Project Management Practice.

The Chief Executive Officer of The University of the South Pacific’s (USP), Pacific Technical and Further Education (Pacific TAFE), Mr Hasmukh Lal received the prestigious Fellow of THE-ICE Award 2018 at an Award Ceremony held at the 12th International Panel of Experts (IPoE) Forum 2018 in Bangkok, Thailand.
The status of Fellow of THE-ICE, that Mr Lal received, is the highest award given by THE-ICE to any person across the world, and is only awarded to people who have demonstrated strong commitment to quality.

The University of the South Pacific’s Centre for Flexible Learning (CFL) launched USP Global, a University initiative through which a number of programmes will be offered online to a global audience.
