Twenty four (24) secondary schools from as far as Taveuni South to the interiors of Bua, covering a span of three confederacies of Bua, Macuata and Cakaudrove totaling more than 2000 people graced The University of the South Pacific’s (USP) Labasa Campus Open Day on 28 July, 2017.
Also present were USP’s stakeholders, sponsors and civil servants who are partners of the University in Labasa and took advantage of showcasing their services and career prospects.

STHM holds Capacity-Building Training in RMI - 2 Aug 2017 12:00:47 pm
The University of the South Pacific’s (USP) School of Tourism and Hospitality Management (STHM) recently partnered with the Marshall Islands Visitors Authority and the Marshall Islands National Training Council to deliver capacity-building tourism training for its tourism and hospitality members.
The programme, which covered tour-guide and customer service training that was contextualised to the Marshallese, was jointly supported by the Marshall Islands Visitors Authority, National Training Council and USP’s Marshall Islands Campus.

The University of the South Pacific’s (USP) Tonga Campus successfully held its Open Day on 28 July, 2017 in two parts.
The first part of the celebrations was at the Annual Heilala Festival Fun Fair which included displays and information for members of the public, an event which attracted close to a thousand people.
Ms Betty Manuofetoa, Teaching Assistant at USP Tonga Campus said there was an overwhelming response and generally the most frequently asked question was whether students can complete their studies in-country.

Students and staff of The University of the South Pacific’s (USP) Emalus Campus participated in a Marine Litter project survey at Eton Beach in the South of Efate Island, Port Vila, Vanuatu on 27 July, 2017.
The activity was part of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signed last year between USP and the London-based Centre for Environment, Fisheries and Aquaculture Science (CEFAS) under the Commonwealth Marine Economics (CME) and being a partner in their ongoing projects in the country.

A collaborative research project between The University of the South Pacific (USP) and Auckland University of Technology (AUT) has come to fruition with the latest themed edition of the Pacific Journalism Review on climate change communication.

The University of the South Pacific’s (USP) 2017 Open Day on 28 July, 2017 at the Laucala Campus in Suva was a success with almost 10,000 secondary school students exploring the various booths during the Open Day on 28 July, 2017
Thousands of secondary school students went through the various booths at the Laucala Campus which showcased the many programmes and courses on offer at USP.

The University of the South Pacific’s (USP) Tuvalu Campus Open Day celebration at the Nauti Primary School in Funafuti was a success with close to 300 people in attendance.
His Excellency Sir Iakopa Taeia Italeli, the Governor General of Tuvalu and former USP Chancellor, officiated at the celebration on 28 July, 2017.

More than 3000 students from 34 schools in Fiji’s Western Division were enlightened with the wide range of courses provided by The University of the South Pacific (USP) at the Lautoka Campus’ Open Day at Churchill Park on 28 July, 2017.

The University of the South Pacific (USP) held its 2017 Open Day at the main Laucala Campus including at its Lautoka, Labasa, Kiribati and Solomon Islands campuses on Friday 28 July, 2017.
