The years 2017 and 2018 are absolutely crucial for the success of The University of the South Pacific (USP) says the University Vice-Chancellor and President, Professor Rajesh Chandra. The University of the South Pacific (USP) has received yet another international accreditation, this time for its Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood Education and Care) programme. The programme has been added to the Australia Children’s Education & Care Quality Authority (ACECQA) list of approved qualifications. The confirmation came via a letter to the University by Ms Emma Richards, Manager Qualifications Assessment with ACECQA. The University of the South Pacific’s (USP) Tuvalu USP Campus in collaboration with Pacific Community (SPC) celebrated World Water Day on 31 March 2017. The Chief Guest for the celebration was Mr Avafoa Irata, Permanent Secretary Public Utilities and Acting Secretary to Government of Tuvalu. The University of the South Pacific’s (USP) Alafua Campus together with the Faculty of Science, Technology and Environment (FSTE) organised a special function for its three Gold Medal recipients on 13 April 2017 at the Alafua Campus in Samoa. Performing artists of The University of the South Pacific’s (USP) Oceania Centre for Arts, Culture and Pacific Studies (OCACPS) put on a superb performance of Broadway in Fiji at the Laucala Campus on 13 April 2017.
