The University of the South Pacific’s (USP) Pacific Technical and Further Education (PacTAFE) is taking measures to cushion the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on Fijian organisations and their workforce by encouraging them to adapt and grow in this current state by increasing up-skilling and re-skilling efforts. USP Computer Labs Observe Social Distancing and COVID-19 Protocols - 5 May 2020 03:18:40 pm
As part of The University of the South Pacific’s (USP) ongoing strategy to support students in accessing remote teaching during the current COVID-19 Pandemic, Laucala Campus computer spaces are now adapted to observe social distancing provisions. Computer labs that used to have forty computers have been halved to twenty computers to observe COVID-19 protocols and to ensure students have adequate space to study and access their courses. USP Graduates the First Batch of PEUMP Funded Scholarship Recipients - 28 Apr 2020 09:02:00 am
Fifty-three (53) marine and fisheries officials from around the Pacific region are the first batch of The University of the South Pacific (USP) and Pacific European Union Marine Partnerships Project (USP  PEUMP) scholarship recipients who are now eligible for graduation. Over half of the 53 students eligible for graduation are women. Twenty-seven (27) PEUMP scholarship recipients completed the Certificate IV in Coastal Fisheries and Aquaculture Compliance (MCS) held from April – November 22, 2019. USP and Swiss Federal Institute of Technology starts Collaborative Research - 13 Mar 2020 04:04:35 pm
The University of the South Pacific (USP) and the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH Zurich) represented by the Transdisciplinarity Lab (TdLab) last year signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for collaborative research and currently work being started in this regard. A final year Education student,  Mr. Niraj Singh of The University of the South Pacific (USP) was overwhelmed after returning from attending a week long orientation programme at Australia’s Macquarie University last week. He attended the weeklong event after scooping the Westpac Buddy of the Year award in 2019.   The Buddy Programme is an initiative organised by USP aimed at smoothing the transition of first year students by linking them with senior students of the university.
