Students talking to USP staff at the careers session in Lautoka.

Students and employers from Fiji’s Western Division met to talk about career and job prospects for fresh graduates during the careers session hosted by the University of the South Pacific’s Lautoka Campus on 24 November, 2012.

The first ever careers session by the Lautoka campus was aimed at  bringing  together prospective employers and tertiary and senior secondary school students to discuss career opportunities and the levels of qualification necessary for different jobs/professions.

Students had the chance to talk to prospective employers and explore the various career options available for them locally as well as have their career related questions answered by employers and USP staff.

Students also took advantage of this opportunity to register for semester 1, 2013 at the University.

The Lautoka Campus Director, Dr Pramila Devi extended her thanks and appreciation to the employers, parents and students who participated in the careers session.
