The Marshall Islands Campus applied to become a Test Center in 2013. Dr Irene Taafaki, Marshall Islands Campus Director said that bringing the test site to the Marshalls saves working students and their employers both time and money.
On 30 October 2016, the Campus staff celebrated the official opening of the Pearson VUE site and at the same time welcomed CISCO Instructor Marika Qalomai who is also the USPNet Assistant Engineer from the Laucala Campus in Fiji. Mr Qalomai began teaching the second cohort of CISCO CCNA courses from 31 October, with thirteen (13) new students.
At the opening on 28 October 2016, Dr Taafaki expressed her appreciation to USP Continuing Education Coordinators at the Marshall Islands Campus, Ms Jacqueline Lakmis and Mr Jonathan Lomodro for their hard work in meeting the multiple requirements of Pearson VUE.
Twelve (12) candidates from the first cohort will sit their CISCO Certification exams through Pearson VUE at the Marshall Islands Campus.
Ms Lakmis said that there will be, “no more stressing and worrying about traveling to where the nearest Pearson VUE Testing Center is in order to sit your exams – it is right here at USP.”
More than 450 credential owners across the globe choose Pearson VUE to help develop, manage, deliver and grow their testing programmes.
