Mr Rupeni Tawake from the Faculty of Business and Economics provides academic advice to a prospective student during USP roadshow in Sigatoka.
The University of the South Pacific (USP) will be carrying out enrolment roadshows in major centres around Viti Levu from 6 to 7 January 2017.
The roadshows provide potential students with the opportunity to seek academic advising about courses and programmes at USP, learn about enrolment requirements and to register for the new academic year.
The roadshow team will be in Sigatoka, Rakiraki, and Tavua on 6 January and in Nadi, Lautoka, Ba and Navua on 7 January respectively.
The roadshows are a part of the University’s efforts to ensure that information about its programmes and courses are more readily available every year.
The University puts in a more comprehensive and targeted drive to ensure the public makes an informed choice regarding their higher education needs and career.
Students also receive face-to-face counselling on the various pathways they can take to reach their desired goals for higher education.
Various University faculties and sections would be participating in the roadshow including representatives from the Faculty of Business and Economics, Faculty of Arts, Law and Education, Faculty of Science, Technology and Environment, Pacific Technical and Further Education, Pacific Centre for Environment and Sustainable Development and the Student Administrative Services.

This year, USP is urging all prospective students to take advantage of its online admissions and enrolment through the USP website: www.usp.ac.fj/apply
According to Professor Richard Coll, Acting Vice-Chancellor and Deputy Vice-Chancellor Learning, Teaching and Student Services, the online admission platform is an easy, quick and accessible means for students to register with USP.
“We strongly encourage students to apply and register online and also urge students to take part in the online orientation programme especially for those who are unable to attend the face-to-face orientation,” Professor Coll said.
Applications for enrolment at USP close on 20 January.
