Students at the 2017 GSB orientation.
The University of the South Pacific’s (USP) Graduate School of Business (GSB) began its academic year last week with students ranging from business executives to public sector representatives.
Many visionaries, entrepreneurs, innovators and thought leaders from top business organisations have joined the intensive and internationally accredited executive Masters in Business Administration (MBA) programme.
During the orientation week, students were warmly welcomed and given the opportunity to know about the academic and campus life at GSB.
Mr Mesake Nawari, senior fellow at GSB welcomed students and stressed the importance of the high level of commitment required to successfully complete the programme.
Students were informed that USP’s GSB has been delivering the MBA programme since 1995 and in 2013, the school received the Association of MBA’s (AMBA) accreditation, making the MBA a recognised qualification worldwide.
GSB is ranked as one of the Top 10 business school in the Oceania Region by Eduniversal Masters Ranking.
GSB alumni Mr Abinesh Kveitamani who was present during the orientation said the MBA programme at GSB is specifically designed to help accelerate leadership growth and contribute greatly towards a company’s success.
“Whilst you are learning these new strategies you will be required to work with people from different industries and backgrounds, an excellent learning and networking opportunity,” said Mr Kveitamani said.
