A team from The University of the South Pacific’s (USP) Centre for Flexible Learning (CFL) based at the Laucala Campus visited the Labasa Campus on 3-6 September 2018.

Mr Eroni Racule, Learning Designer was at the Labasa Campus to conduct research in evaluating student’s perceptions of their learning experiences in a blended course.

Students at Labasa Campus were interviewed about their experiences of using the online learning platform for their studies at Labasa Campus.

All staff and students were also invited to participate in an online survey that would determine how they generally felt about the Moodle learning platform.

Mr Racule stated that responses to the survey and interviews will allow CFL to better improve the delivery, outlook and general enhancement of the online learning services.

Apart from connectivity issues, CFL was also interested to see whether maximum benefit of online learning was actually being felt by regional students.

Similarly, issues, concerns and remarks were taken from the student’s point of view to allow them to be able to get maximum output and results for students at the end of each semester.
