High Achievers of Pacific TAFE recognised

Charishma Shivani Ram receives her gold medal and prize from the CEO Pacific TAFE Hasmukh Lal.

The University of the South Pacific (USP), Pacific Technical and Further Education (Pacific TAFE) recognized its high achieving student in a medal and prize giving ceremony at the FMF gymnasium on 19 March 2019.

Sixteen (16) students from Pacific TAFE walked away with gold medal and prizes from the 17 award categories.

Charishma Shivani Ram recipient of gold and prize in four different award categories was ecstatic after the awards ceremony.

“I am speechless and I cannot really explain how happy I am after receiving the awards,” she said.

“I would like to acknowledge my parents, relatives and friends who have been part of this wonderful journey. Most of all I would like to acknowledge Pacific TAFE coordinators, facilitators and administrative staff for their guidance and support.”

Charishma was joint recipient of Most Outstanding Graduate in Pacific TAFE - Gold Medal and Prize, Most outstanding Graduate in the College of Science, Technology and Environment - Gold Medal and Prize, Most outstanding Graduate in the Diploma (Level 5) Programme - Gold Medal and Prize, and Diploma of Information Technology (Level 5) – Prize.

“USP Pacific TAFE values quality and this is reflected through the hard yard put in by my course coordinators and facilitators,” she said. “Pacific TAFE basically provides students with excellent resource facility; flexible study environment and outstanding teaching staff that make every students academic journey an enjoyable one.”

Meanwhile, the Chief Executive Officer, USP Pacific TAFE, Mr. Hasmukh Lal congratulated all gold medal and prize recipients and wished them the best in their future endeavors.

“I would like to congratulate our high achievers and wish them the best in the future,” he said. “At Pacific TAFE quality is paramount for us – we are always in pursuit to provide students with best resources and facility and our accredited programmes and qualification provide us the cutting edge. I would also like to acknowledge the support from our corporate sponsors funding three awards for this event.”

The three sponsors were Core Builders (Most outstanding Graduate in the College of Business, Tourism and Hospitality - Gold Medal and Prize), Pro Design (Most outstanding Graduate in the College of Science, Technology and Environment - Gold Medal and Prize), and Star Printery (Diploma of Counselling (Level 5) – Prize).
