The University of the South Pacific’s (USP) Graduate School of Business was pleased to host Dr. Joeli Veitayaki and Dr. Robin Havea, the newly-appointed Campus Directors for Alafua and Tonga respectively at the GSB Board room on 20 June 2019.
Both directors were welcomed by Professor Gurmeet Singh, the Head of School and Director of MBA, accompanied by Dr. Halahingano Rohorua, Deputy Head of School and academic and support staff.
This meeting was part of their USP orientation programme and the duo were briefed about the MBA offerings in the region, future plans and other initiatives.
Their appointment could not have come at a better time, as the GSB is currently offering the MBA programme in both campuses.
GSB has plans to further strengthen and offer the MBA to new cohorts of students in Alufua, Tonga and other campuses in Trimester III, 2019.
The Directors were pleased with the School’s progress and acknowledged GSB for taking the initiative of providing the programmes to regional campuses via face-to-face mode.
Dr. Havea said that, “not only does this help the regional students in their face-to-face learning, but it leads to better-trained workforce, better leaders, and better managers”.
Dr. Veitayaki said he is very excited about taking this new role and will help in promoting the GSB programmes in the country.
Additionally, both directors mentioned that they would provide all possible support to the School in the future and that they are convinced that MBA will benefit their campuses significantly.
