The Oceania Centre for Arts, Culture and Pacific Studies (OCACPS or Oceania Centre) is a centre for creative excellence and innovation at The University of the South Pacific, offering an exciting range of academic and art programmes. Activities at the Oceania Centre fall under the three main priority areas: Pacific Island Studies, Safeguarding Heritage and Contemporary Pacific Arts. Cutting across these areas of operation are activities clustered under Learning & Teaching, Research & Innovation and Outreach & Internationalization.

Oceania Arts Centre

We pride ourselves as being a hub for the creation of a unique blend of contemporary Pacific island arts.

Pacific Studies

Pacific Studies provides an opportunity for in-depth learning about the Pacific region and her peoples.

Pacific Heritage Hub

The Pacific Heritage Hub was established in 2012 as a UNESCO World Heritage facility by and for Pacific States Parties.

Community Arts Programme

The Oceania Centre offers a range of Social classes as part of its community arts programmes in music and dance.

Pacific Outreach Programme

The Pacific Outreach Programme (POP) promotes Pacific heritage through culture and the arts in the wider USP region.

Gallery of Oceanian Arts

A dedicated space that aims to exhibit Pacific island artists and international exhibitions, which contribute to discourse creation on contemporary arts in the USP region.

Niu Sounds Oceania

Established for the creation of original contemporary Pacific sounds.

International Programme

A short course for visiting international student groups has been designed for undergraduate students on Pacific student exchanges or tours.
