The Research Office is once again organizing the Three Minute Thesis (3MT) which is an academic competition developed by The University of Queensland (UQ), Australia for postgraduate research students. This year, the 3MT event is scheduled for the 17th of August.

The 3MT is an exercise aimed to develop academic and research communication skills. Research higher degree students have three minutes to present a compelling oration on their thesis topic and its significance in language appropriate to an intelligent but non-specialist audience.

Eligible students are encouraged to participate and win a chance to represent the University of the South Pacific in Perth Australia at the Australian and New Zealand finals scheduled to be held on 29th September 2011.
