Distinguished writer ROBIN HEMLEY,
Director of Nonfiction Writing Program at the University of Iowa,
for a one day creative writing workshop on 19th November, 2012.
Expressions of interest are invited from staff and students to join this prestigious workshop. A limited number of places are available and early expressions of interest will guarantee you a place.
Professor Hemley is a published novelist and short prose writer. He is the Senior Editor of The Iowa Review and Editor-in-Chief of Defunct (Defunctmag.com). A multi-award winning writer, his most recent awards include the 2012 Pushcart Prize for “To the Rainforest Room,” for an essay first published in ORION, May, 2011. His memberships include the Asian Pacific Writing Partnership Board of Director since 2008. Among recent work of fiction and non-fiction are Field Guide for the Immersion Writer published by The University of Georgia Press and Reply All: Stories (Break Away Books, Indiana University Press). His earlier award winning novel, The Last Studebaker was published as a new edition by Break Away Book, Indiana University Press in February, 2012.
