  Reminder Notice: Banner Upgrade Project  
(USP Web Events)

Dear Staff and Students,

IT Services, in conjunction with all relevant USP stakeholders, will be upgrading the USP’s Enterprise Administrative System platform BANNER. The work will commence on Friday 23rd November from 5:00 PM and we expect to complete the upgrade work on Tuesday 27th November at 8:00 AM at the latest when the system will come on live.

All BANNER associated applications will not be available during this short time. This will include:
1. All Banner Student Functions
2. All Banner HR Functions
3. All Banner Finance Functions
4. All Services on Staff Online Services (Staff SOLS)
Staff Reports
Student Reports
Leave management service
Staff Payslip Generation
Staff profile/details
etc.
5. Staff Directory
6. Staff ID card printing
7. All Services on Student Online (Student SOLS)
Invoice Printing
Results Querying
etc.
8. Student ID Card Printing
9. All Services on MIS-Online
Finance Data Querying and Reporting
HR Data Querying and Reporting
Student Data Querying and Reporting
etc.
10. Any data extraction process from Banner
DIBS
Moodle
Library
etc.
We request all Staff and students to cooperate and work around this time to avoid complications. Academic staff in particular are requested to upload the students grades that are available before 5:00 PM on Friday 23rd Nov and after the upgrading on Tuesday 27th November 8am. The decision on timing was for the upgrade was taken after careful consideration with the Faculties.

The BANNER upgrade will improve functionality, data formats, access, integrity and security.

Staff and students are requested to contact SAS office HelpDesk if you need help on student academic matters.
