Biography

Niko, an Education Technologist at the University of the South Pacific (USP), began his journey in advancing education through technology in January 2020. Before joining USP, he served for six years with Fiji’s Ministry of Education, teaching Computer Studies and Office Technology to Years 11 to 13. This classroom experience nurtured his passion for integrating technology to enhance learning and teaching.

At USP, Niko plays a vital role in bridging the gap between educators and digital tools. Known for his ability to deliver impactful training sessions, he works closely with academics and the Centre for Flexible Learning (CFL) teams to develop solutions that support USP’s mission of delivering quality education across the Pacific region.
A strong advocate for lifelong learning, Niko keeps pace with advancements in educational technology to ensure USP remains at the forefront of innovation.

His combined expertise in teaching and technology enhances processes and enriches the educational experience for staff and students, contributing significantly to USP’s vision for education in the Pacific.
