Biography
Salanieta Vakalala Saratibau is an Education Technologist at the Centre for Flexible Learning (CFL) at the University of the South Pacific (USP), where she has worked for over five years. Her expertise lies in integrating educational technology to improve teaching & learning processes, and outcomes. Before joining USP, she spent 19 years teaching in secondary schools across Fiji under the Ministry of Education.
This experience sparked her passion for understanding how people learn and applying design principles to support that process. She is particularly interested in the adoption and implementation of technological tools to enhance learning design, using assessments and data-driven strategies to personalize educational experiences. Salanieta holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Information Systems, a Bachelor of Commerce in Information Systems, a Diploma in Education, and a Diploma in Business Applied Computing.
In her free time, Salanieta enjoys farming, baking, and exploring new places.
